Report filed on behalf of the State is taken on record. Copy of the same shall be handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that they have co-operated with the investigation. They have also challenged the proceedings in four of the five cases which are the subject matter of this writ petition. The same would come up for hearing on 13.12.2023. They seek protection for some time.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits that in connection with the first

case, the Investigating Agency was not allowed to interrogate the petitioner for the entire length of one hour as directed. They may be permitted to interrogate the petitioner again in respect of Santiniketan Police Station Case No. 116 dated 17.08.2023.

The prime relief sought by the petitioner in the instant case in respect of the notices issued have already been granted. The notices in question were stayed . They have now become infructuous. Let them be treated as set aside. Subsequently, a liberty was granted to the State to issue fresh notices for examination. The same was done. The Investigating Agency shall be at liberty to issue notices to the petitioner for examination through video conference in respect of Santiniketan Police Station Case No. 116 of 2023 on 11.12.2023 at 7 PM for not exceeding an hour.

Let the police not arrest the petitioner in respect of the cases till 15.12.2023.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
