None appears for the private respondent despite service.

The petitioners have challenged the timetable issued in favour of the private respondent by the authority. Learned counsel for the State respondents produces a copy of a letter issued by the private respondent along with one Chiranjit Mukherjee, joint holder of the permit to the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Bankura expressing their desire to surrender the permit. A certificate issued by the authority on 23rd November, 2023 demonstrates that such surrender has been accepted by the authority after a thorough inspection dated 23rd November, 2023.

In view of the above, the writ petition having become infructuous, is accordingly disposed of.

There shall however, be no order as to costs.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
