CRR 4805 of 2024 In Re: Abani Kumar Sheet Mr. Santanu Das Ms. Sonali Das ... For the Petitioner Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of G. R. Case no. 82 of 2019 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Contai, Purba Medinipur, the matter may be considered without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case.

It appears that the matter is pending since 2019. Out of 16 charge-sheeted witnesses the evidence of CSW I is in progress. In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion as expeditiously as possible, preferably within two years from the next date of hearing fixed before him, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

CRR 4805 of 2024 is disposed of.
