Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners is directed to serve copy of this revisional application upon Ms. Sima Biswas, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Five petitioners have approached this Court, although the records reflect that there are six accused persons. After a considerable period of time, the accused persons having evaded and/or being absent in court, the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Chandannagore, Hooghly was pleased to issue warrant of proclamation. The next date is fixed on 02.02.2024 by the learned trial court.

Having considered that earlier the petitioners were granted bail, but the petitioners subsequently did not follow up in the court, I am of the view that the petitioners may be released on bail, if they appear before the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Chandannagore, Hooghly on condition that till framing of charges, they would twice a week meet the Inspector-in-Charge, Bhadreswar Police Station. After the charge is framed, the petitioners would meet the

concerned officer of Bhadreswar Police Station once in a fortnight till further orders of this Court.

This order will remain operative till 20.12.2023. The issuance of warrant of proclamation and warrant of arrest is stayed till 21.12.2023. The learned court would revive both the warrant of arrest and the warrant of proclamation on 22.12.2023.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 4437 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
