A report has been filed before this Court by the Howrah Zilla Parishad. The relevant portion of the report is reproduced below:

"As per the order of Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta dated 02/02/2026, an inspection was made on 05/02/2026 at 1:00 p.m. upon Dag no. 5768 (L. R.), 6516 (R. S.), Khatian No. 6776 (L. R.) J. L. No.-20, in presence of Pradip Jana (Respondent No.9).

At the time of inspection it is found that Shri Pradip Jana have obtain Two nos of Sanctioned plan vide Memo No.- 132/032/HZP/PS dated 31/07/2025 for G+I Storied building and another one is G+II Storied building which was duly sanctioned vide Memo No.-224/032/HZP/EP Dated 04/10/2016 under the aforesaid Dag No.

Proposed Land for sanctioned as G+I storied is still vacant but earlier Sanctioned for G+II storied building is already been constructed."

Accordingly, it is held that there is no substance in the allegation made in the writ petition that respondent no. 9 has constructed the building without a sanctioned plan.

In view of the above, WPA 26953 of 2025 stands dismissed.
