Pursuant to a complaint lodged by the petitioners before the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, the said authority issued a notice to the Secretary of Sridharpur Co-operative Bank to follow the provisions of the West Bengal Co-operative Societies Act, 2006 and the West Bengal Co-operative Societies Rules, 2011. The Co-operative Bank has replied to the query made by the Assistant Registrar of the Co-operative Societies. The complaint of the petitioners, however, has not been finally disposed of by the said authority. Without going into the merit of the complaint filed by the petitioners, as it appears that the Assistant

Registrar of the Co-operative Societies has already taken steps in the matter, accordingly, the said authority is directed to dispose of the complaint in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to all the parties.

It is made abundantly clear that this Court has not entered into the merit of the claim of the petitioners and all points are left open to be decided by the Assistant Registrar of the Co-operative Societies at the time of consideration of the representations. The writ petition stands disposed of.
