1. Heard the learned Advocates appearing for both the parties.

2. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show petitioner and co-accused perpetrated assault on a number of persons; one of whom succumbed to his injuries. In view of the aforesaid and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
