The petitioner approached this Court with a prayer that the information which was submitted on 06.11.2024 was not acted upon.

Banerjee, learned senior standing counsel appearing for the State has submitted a report which reflects that Rajarhat Police Station Case No. 471/2024 dated 21.11.2024 has been registered for investigation and one of the accused persons named by the petitioner i.e. Suman Mondal, respondent no.6 herein, was arrested in connection with the said case.

Having considered the prayers so advanced in the writ petition and steps taken by the State, I am of the opinion that the purpose for which the present writ petition has been preferred is subserved.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is being threatened. To that

effect specific information be furnished before the Inspector-in-Charge, Rajarhat Police Station who would take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 27244 of 2024 is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
