Petitioners complain that the information furnished to the police authorities did not yield any result and, as such, they had to approach this Court along with others.

Report submitted by the State reflects that there have been three cases being Bagnan P.S. Case No.435 of 2024, Bagnan P.S. Case No.549 of 2024 and Bagnan P.S. Case No.635 of 2024 pending inter se between the petitioners and the persons against whom the petitioners are aggrieved.

Petitioners submit that in respect of different incidents different complaints have been registered. However, the police authorities have not acted upon.

To this, the learned advocate appearing for the State pointed out that the substance of the accusations have been taken as a whole and lastly on 18.11.2024 Bagnan P.S. Case No.635 of 2024 has been registered.

I find that the sections under which the said case has been registered include amongst others Sections 115 and 117 of the BNS, 109 of the BNS and Section 76 of the BNS.

Having considered that the police authorities have acted with sincerity so far as the last case has been registered, I am of the opinion that the purpose for which the petitioners have approached this Court has been sub-served. As the investigation has commenced and the petitioners complain that they are sufferers, the investigation of the cases may be taken to its logical conclusion efficiently by the investigating agency.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 27287 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioners.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
