Leave, as prayed for by Mr. Kundu, to add the Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (Recruitment) as a party is allowed. Leave is granted to make necessary amendments in the cause title. The report handed over by Mr. Dalal, learned counsel appearing for the Union of India, in Court today, is retained with the records.

It appears from the said report that the petitioners names have been withheld in the third list since the genuineness of the Left Thumb Impression (LTI) is under question. There is a mismatch in the LTI and the same has been sent to Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) and Central Finger Print Bureau (CFPB) for verifying the genuineness of the petitioners' claim. Considering the submissions of the parties, this Court is of the view that the respondent authorities should call for a report within three weeks from the institution concerned whether CFSL or CFPB verifying the genuineness of the LTI. In the event, the petitioners

are found to be genuine candidates the petitioners will be eligible for appointments in their respective posts recommended by the SSC after complying with all necessary formalities.

With the directions aforesaid, WPA 26959 of 2022 is disposed of.

All parties shall act on the serve copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of all formalities.
