The plaintiffs seek expeditious disposal of an application filed under Order VI Rule 18 of the Code of Civil Procedure on March 6, 2020, in connection with Title Suit No.305 of 2003. The suit is pending before the learned Civil Judge (Senior Division), Additional Court at Purulia. The plaintiffs submit that the said application has been heard, but not disposed of.

Mr. Chaturvedi, learned Advocate appears on behalf of the defendants/opposite parties and submits that there are other interlocutory applications which should also be disposed of.

Having heard the learned Advocates for the respective parties, this Court is of the view that the application under Order VI Rule 18 of the Code of Civil Procedure should be disposed of within two weeks from the next date fixed, independently and strictly in accordance with law, upon allowing the parties to contest the proceeding. As it has been informed that the arguments are complete, if the learned Judge so desires, one further chance shall be given to the parties to advance their concluding arguments. Upon disposal of the application, all other interlocutory applications shall also be disposed of. The court shall also make an endeavour to be disposed of those applications within next four months. Thereafter, the suit shall proceed in accordance with law and dispose of within next one year. Unnecessary adjournments shall not be granted to any of the parties.

This Court has neither gone into the merits of the applications nor into the merits of the suit. The revisional application is, thus, disposed of. There will be, however, no order as to costs. Parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
