1. CAN 3 of 2025 has been filed by the CESC in the light of the observations made in paragraph 10 of the order dated 28th July, 2025.

The CESC is of the view that the said order may be used by every consumer and/or a group of consumers to drag in the licensee in private disputes and beyond its jurisdiction.

It is clarified that the directions on the CESC in the said order dated 28th July, 2025 shall not be treated as precedent and were passed in special facts and circumstances of the case.

With the aforesaid direction, CAN 3 of 2025 shall stand disposed of.

5.

There will be no order as to costs.

6.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
