Nag .......For the State Mr. Saikat Banerjee Mr. Ratul Biswas Mr. Kaushik Chowdhury .......For the Board The petitioners' case is that they appeared in 2020 recruitment process and when the result was published in 2021, their names appeared in the merit list but they have not been given recommendation as according to the Board they applied in the category Para Teacher which the petitioners are vehemently opposing. The petitioners are saying that they never filled up the forms as Para Teachers and for this purpose they have disclosed one affidavit with a large number of documents affirmed on 3rd April, 2023. This dispute is to be looked into by the Grievance Cell of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education and for this purpose I direct the Deputy Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education to give hearing to the learned advocate for the petitioners within a
period of six weeks from date and to serve a copy of reasoned and speaking order in respect of this matter by two weeks thereafter. The Deputy Secretary may hear the petitioners for more than one occasion but it shall not be more than three occasions in these six weeks.
With the above observation and direction this writ application is disposed of.
The order passed by the Deputy Secretary on 21.02.2023 is set aside and quashed.
The affidavit filed today containing a large number of documents affirmed on 3rd April, 2023 is kept on record.
