It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner there was a consensual relationship between the parties. Allegation of blackmailing the victim by using her objectionable videos is false. Petitioner has cooperated with investigation and handed over his mobile phone for verification. Accordingly, he prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate for the State does not dispute this fact. 3.

Keeping in mind the nature of accusation, cooperation extended by the petitioner during investigation and as forensic verification of his mobile phone may not require his custodial interrogation, we are inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him however, subject to strict conditions.

Accordingly, we direct in the event of arrest, the accused/petitioner, namely, Raju Sk. @ Jhantu Sk., be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section Signed By : ARUP KUMAR DAS High Court of Calcutta 10 th of February 2025 01:42:24 PM

482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and on further condition that the petitioner shall meet the Officer-in-charge, Santipur Police Station once in a week until further orders. He shall appear before the jurisdictional court and pray for regular bail within four weeks from date.
