This petition was filed in the year challenging the notification dated 8th of November, 2016 in respect of the demonetisation of existing series of 500 and 1000 rupees.

This Court on 20th of January, 2017 had taken a note of the order of the Hon'ble Apex Court in Writ Petition (Civil) 906 of 2016 dated 16.12.2016 whereby the matters regarding demonetisation were not to be heard by the High Courts.

Substantial time has lapsed thereafter. We have also noticed that along with the petition no material has been enclosed to substantiate the grounds raised therein.

Be that as it may, since no one is present to prosecute the petition, the petition is dismissed for

want of prosecution.
