The petitioner's prayer for releasing his arrear salary has been allegedly kept pending at the end of the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Paschim Medinipur since 2020.

None represents the State. Learned counsel for the Board is, however, present.

Without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the DI of Schools, Paschim Medinipur to take a decision with regard to the petitioner's prayer seeking release of his arrear salary in accordance with law at the earliest, but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

An opportunity of hearing shall be granted to the petitioner for production of all documents in support of his claim.

If the claim of the petitioner is allowed, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken by the said respondent.

reasoned decision shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner forthwith.

Learned counsel for the petitioner shall forward a copy of the subject representation along with all supporting documents to the said respondent at the time of communicating this order.

The writ petition is disposed of.
