Petitioner submits that in spite of an order being passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court on 2nd January, 2024, police remained inactive for a considerable period of time and very recently issued a notice under Section 91 Cr.P.C.

Mr. Ghosh, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State has produced the compilation of documents and also drawn the attention of the Court regarding steps taken by the investigating agency. Mr.

Ganguly, learned senior advocate, appears on behalf of the private respondent no.6.

Having considered that the investigation of the case is in progress pursuant to the order/direction being passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, I am of the opinion that the investigating agency will take into account the fact that the case was instituted in the year 2015 and so effectively conclude the investigation within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 27432 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. Compilation of documents placed by the State be returned to the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
