The petitioner alleges that the representation made by her praying for grant of extra increment for obtaining Ph.D degree is pending consideration. 2.

Without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition stands disposed of directing the DI of Schools, Bankura to consider the petitioner's prayer for extra increment for her Ph.D degree strictly in according with the prevailing rules at the earliest, but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If the claim of the petitioner is allowed, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken by the said respondent.

The writ petition is disposed of.
