The private respondents encroached upon the land belonging to the PWD which is adjacent to a national highway and illegally constructed shops that are impeding the ingress and egress to the petitioners' property. A representation was made in this regard by the petitioners before the concerned authority, but no effective steps have been taken yet.

Learned counsel for the private respondents denies the allegations and submits that the land in question belongs to the private respondents.

Learned counsel for the State submits that if a representation has been made before the concerned

authority, the same will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, let the respondent No.7 consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.09.2024 upon giving an opportunity of hearing to the concerned parties, in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

As affidavits were not called for, allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities.
