Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of CS/32092 of 2022 pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 18th Court, Calcutta (presently redesignated as Judicial Magistrate, 18th Court, Calcutta) the matter may be considered without service of notice upon the opposite parties.

The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. It appears that the accused failed to appear before the learned Trial Court on several occasions for which warrants of arrest were issued against him and he has been granted bail by the learned Trial Court on all occasions. Plea has been recorded and the evidence of the petitioner is in progress.

Considering the age of the petitioner which is stated to be 80 years as well as conduct of the accused/opposite party before the learned Trial Court, the learned Court is directed to conclude the trial within eight months from the next date of hearing fixed before him, without granting any

unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 4841 of 2024 is disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly uploaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
