Affidavit of service and the supplementary affidavit filed in Court today are kept with the records. 2.
Copy of the supplementary affidavit has been handed over to the learned advocate representing the respondents in Court today.

The issue in question as to whether the petitioner who claims to be a Scheduled Caste category candidate and participated in the ongoing recruitment process conducted by the West Bengal Central School Service Commission for appointment of assistant teachers by depositing Rs.200/- meant for the reserved category candidate in respect of SC/ST and PH can be treated as general category candidate if the candidate did not update or edit the caste in accordance with the addendum notices issued by the Commission.

The aforesaid issue has been decided by the Court on 27th November, 2025 in WPA No. 26937 of 2025 (Somnath Pramanik & Ors. v. The State of West Bengal & Ors.), accordingly, the same observation and direction passed in the aforesaid matter will apply in case of the petitioner.

The date for credential verification of the petitioner is scheduled on 1st December, 2025.

The petitioner shall be treated as Scheduled Caste category candidate subject to verification of the caste certificate.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
8.
All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
9.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
