Case no. 181 of 2022 dated 16.04.2022 under Sections 406/409/420/120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, & Section 3(2) of the West Bengal Protection of Interest of Depositors in Financial Establishment Act. In Re : Sk. Riyazuddin @ Rony Mukherjee ....Petitioner Mr. Sourat Nandy Mr. Raja Das ......for the petitioner Mr. Sudip Ghosh Mr. Apurba Kumar Datta .......for the State The accused is alleged to be involved in a Ponzi Scam. He is in custody for over six months.

Investigation is complete.

Charge-sheet has been submitted.

The other co-accused are on bail.

In those circumstances, we allow this application for bail.

We direct that the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties each of like amount, on of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned 3rd Additional District Judge, Alipore, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall appear before the trial court on every date of hearing until further orders and shall not intimidate the witnesses and/or tamper with evidence in any manner whatsoever.

In the event the petitioner fails to appear before the trial court it shall be at liberty to cancel his bail in accordance with law without further reference of this court. He will not leave the limits of district Hooghly without informing the Investigating Officer.

He will also deposit his passport, if any, with such Officer within seven days.

The application for bail (CRM (DB) 4361 of 2022) is, accordingly, disposed of.
