Petitioner is aged about 70 years and complains that in spite of informing the police station on or about 30th September, 2024, no steps have been taken. The main grievance of the petitioner is that her daughter-in-law has been inflicting physical and mental torture and trying to grab the property of her husband and with that ending view she along with her husband has been thrown away from the property.

In case the petitioner has been thrown out of the property, petitioner would approach the Maintenance Tribunal under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. The Tribunal would, within a period of 30 days from the date of filing of such application,

consider the plight of the petitioner and her husband. In case any direction is passed upon the police authorities, they would adhere and abide by the said order of the Tribunal.

As none appears on behalf of the State, Mr.

K.J. Yusuf, learned advocate, is directed to appear on behalf of the State with a junior of his choice. Their appearance may by regularized by the concerned authorities.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 27547 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
