Mr. Dilip Kr. Chatterjee Mr. Durga Bhusan Mukherjee .....for the petitioner Mr. N.C. Bihani Mr. Soumyajit Ghosh ....for the CSTC 1) In terms of order dated 18th December, 2025 Chief Accounts Officer-Cum-Financial Advisor, Calcutta State Transport Corporation (for short, "said Corporation") has furnished a report signed on 8th January, 2026 and same is taken on record.

2) On perusal of said report dated 8th January, 2026 it appears that Rs. 56,26,619/- is payable directly to the petitioner and Rs. 26,39,822/- is required to be transmitted to Employees' Provident Fund Organisation being respondent no. 5 for payment of pension under Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995.

3) Considering the report furnished today Court directs concerned authority of said Corporation to release Rs. 56,26,619/- to the

petitioner along with interest @ 6% per annum from the date following the date of retirement of the petitioner till the date of payment by eight weeks from date of communication of this order.

4) Concerned authority of said Corporation is also directed to remit Rs. 26,39,822/- to the respondent no. 5 immediately but not later than ten weeks from date of communication of this order for early release of pension in terms of Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995.

5) Writ petition stands disposed of.

6) There shall be, however, no order as to costs.

7) Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
