It appears that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and the private opposite party/ defacto complainant does not intend to proceed with the matter any further. Learned counsel for the private opposite party submits that the entire due amount has been received by him.

Learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has been arrested in connection with the present matter on 7th December, 2024 and is in custody till date.

Since the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue any further qua the petitioner shall be a futile exercise. In view of the above, the revisional application being CRR 4867 of 2024 is allowed.

Accordingly, the proceeding being G.R. Case no. 1470 of 2023 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sealdah qua the petitioner be quashed.

The petitioner be released at once.
