Report filed by the State is also taken on record. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was cheated huge sums of money in the guise of making investments. When he asked for return of the money, he was given some cheques which were dishonoured. Complaints were made before the police authorities. An FIR was registered and a notice was issued under Section of the Code, but the investigating agency is not conducting the investigation properly.

Learned advocate for the private respondents denies the allegations.

Learned advocate for the State relies on the report and submits that on the complaint of the petitioner, a specific case being Malipanchghora Police Station Case No.157/23 dated 24.07.2023 was started under Sections 420/406/ 506/34 of IPC. A notice has been given to the complainant to produce necessary documents in terms of Section 91 of the Code. A notice has also been issued to the respondent Nos.5 and 6 under Section 41A of the Code. They cooperated with the investigation and thereafter were released on bail. The investigating officer seized some documents and sent a handwriting to the QDEB, CID for an expert's report. The same is awaited. It appears that the investigating officer has taken steps for conducting investigation of the case. Let the investigation be concluded expeditiously and in accordance with law.

Therefore, no further order need be passed in this regard.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
