1. The parties are represented through their learned Counsels.

2. The petitioners in the instant case are the holders of permit being P.St.P.No. 08/1112 for plying the vehicle bearing No.WB4/H/3030 on the route from Guir to Burdwan via Seharabazar. The permit was granted in the year 2011 which was time to time renewed and remained valid till 10.11.2025.

3. Thereafter, the petitioner made an application upon payment of the requisite fees, seeking for renewal of the permit as per the provision of Section 81 of the

Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 which is on the verge of expiry on 10.11.2025.

4. Main grievance of the petitioner is that till date the said application dated 17.11.2025 for the renewal of the payment remains pending for consideration.

5. The State respondent fairly submits that the said application is pending for a considerable period of time, shall be considered in accordance with law.

6. Heard the parties, I direct the respondent no.3 to consider the application dated 17.11.2025 within a period of six weeks from the date of this order and shall pass a reasoned order in accordance with law upon affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and communicate such decision, accordingly within a week.

7. The writ petitioner is disposed of and without taking any exception to the merits of the case.
