The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition seeking grant to electricity connection to the petitioner's premises i.e. ground floor of premise no. 8 Kyd Street, PS - Park Street, Kolkata.

At the outset itself, the petitioner states that he had already approached the Grievance Redressal Officer as the respondent raised an objection to the effect that granting of new electricity connection will lead to splitting of load and hence they are not in a position to grant the same. However, there has been no decision by the Grievance Redressal Officer till date.

In view thereof, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the Grievance Redressal Officer to decide the

petitioner's application expeditiously preferably within a period of three weeks.

With the above directions, the present writ petition is disposed of.
