The parties have filed joint petition for compromise stating, inter alia, that the matrimonial dispute between them has been amicably settled and practically the opposite party No.2 has been residing together with her husband, petitioner No.6 herein. On the last occasion, the Officer-in-Charge of the jurisdictional Police Station was requested to submit a report as to whether settlement arrived at by and between the parties was voluntary and free from threat, coercion and undue influence. The Officer-in-Charge of the concerned police station obtained a written declaration of the opposite party No.2 wherein she stated that the matrimonial dispute between them has been amicably settled and they are residing peacefully.

In view of such circumstances, the joint petition for settlement is accepted.

On the basis of the settlement of the case and in view of the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Parbatbhai Aahir Vs. Stgate of Gujarat reported in (2018) SCC (Cri) 1, G.R. Case No. 2270 of 2022 presently pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chanchal at Malda be quashed. The instant revisional application along with all connected applications are thus, disposed of.
