Despite service no one appears on behalf of the private respondents.

Report filed on behalf of the State is also taken on record.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. There was a decree of nullity ordered by a civil court in respect of the alleged marriage between the private respondent and the petitioner's son. However, the private respondent possibly could not accept the same. Since then she had been harassing and intimidating the petitioner and her family members. The husband of the petitioner died from this. Often on the private respondent would come and create such disturbances at the petitioner's residence. No action has been taken by the police despite the facts being reported to them.

Learned Senior Standing Counsel representing the State relies on the report and submits that a specific FIR being Chetla PS Case No.49 dated 06.10.2023 was registered

under Sections 341, 323 of the IPC. In fact, a charge sheet dated 31.10.2023 was also submitted in the same. It appears that the police have taken steps on the complaint of the petitioner first by filing an FIR and then by submitting a charge sheet.

Therefore, no further order need be passed in this regard.

However, police shall keep a close watch on the developments in the locality.

With these observations, WPA 26315 of 2023 is disposed of.
