1. The petitioner says that he is in custody for 4 (four) months and 21 (twenty one) days. He prays for bail.

2. Opposing the prayer, learned State counsel apprises us that the petitioner was granted bail by a co-ordinate bench by an order dated November 13, 2014. From 2019, the petitioner was absconding. After five years, he surrendered before the learned trial court only in August 2024. Because of his absconsion, the trial could not proceed.

3. Given that much more commercial quantity of contraband items was seized from the petitioner and his conduct, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage.

4. Accordingly, the bail petition is dismissed.

5. All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

6. Criminal Section is directed to supply certified copies of this order to the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
