31 CRR 4880 of 2024 Re: Romeo Roy Mr. Arnab Sinha Mr. Amartya Basu Ms. Arundhati Baral ... For the Petitioner Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of G.R. Case no. 198 of 2014 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bidhannagar, North 24 Parganas, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. This Court is informed that charges were framed on 16th August, 2016. One out of nine charge-sheeted witnesses has been examined till date.

Considering the period of pendency of the case, the learned trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. CRR 4880 of 2024 is disposed of.
