Petitioner is in custody for more than 8 years. He prays for bail.

Learned lawyer for the State submits prosecution evidence is complete and trial is at its fag end.

We have considered the materials on record. Allegations are very grave. Prosecution evidence is complete. Presently trial court is lying vacant.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. Copy of the order be sent to the Registrar (Judicial Service), High Court, Calcutta for taking necessary steps to fill up the vacancy in the trial court.
