Saha ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that from the house of the present petitioner allegedly there were recoveries of 49.2 kg of ganja, consequent to which, the petitioner was arrested and is in custody for about one year. Learned advocate also submits that other accused persons have been enlarged on bail.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that charge-sheet has also been submitted and the quantity seized do not call for any sympathy for the petitioner.

Having considered the quantum of seizure, at this stage, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

However, the petitioner would renew his prayer for bail after the examination of the seizure list witnesses is over.

Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 1617 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
