Banerjee Mr. Manoranjan Mahata ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for three years and six months and there is hardly any scope of the trial being concluded in the near future, as such, on any stringent condition, the petitioner may be released on bail, as the petitioner happens to be the father against whom accusations have been made for killing his son. Learned advocate for the State submits that out of the 22 witness proposed to be examined by the prosecution, 15 witnesses have already been examined.

Having considered the submissions advanced by the parties, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail, at this stage.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

However, I direct the State to complete rest seven witnesses by 15th May, 2026.

Accordingly, CRM(M) 2551 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
