1. Leave is granted to the learned Advocate-onrecord for the petitioners to carry out necessary amendments to the cause title to correct the designation of the respondent no. by mentioning the particular district corresponding to the said respondent.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are aggrieved byinstallation of a high-tension electricity line over the property of the petitioners, in which regard, it is alleged that a survey was conducted by the concerned District Magistrate, after which the drawal of the line has stopped.

3. However, since the petitioners have made a representation to the District Magistrate to decide the issue once and for all, which has not been considered as yet, a consideration of such representation annexed at page 56 of the writ petition by the concerned District Magistrate is sought.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the WBSETCL submits that the work of the project under consideration has advanced considerably and it would be extremely difficult and counter protective to public interest to stop the same at this juncture.

5. Be that as it may, in view of the innocuous nature of the prayer made by the petitioners, WPA No. 26416 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 4, the District Magistrate, Purba Bardhaman, to consider the representation of the petitioner annexed at page 56 of the writ petition upon giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners as well as all concerned, including the WBSETCL, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within June 20, 2024.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
