On being served there is no representation on behalf of the respondents.

The present writ application has been preferred praying for direction upon the respondents mainly the respondent no.3 to execute certificate dated April 4, as registered as Case No.85/Misc./24 within a specified time frame in accordance with law.

It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that due to non-payment of gratuity the matter was decided by the Controlling Authority and vide a notice dated 18.05.2023 the Controlling Authority directed payment of gratuity in favour of the petitioner herein.

It is submitted that even though a certificate proceeding has been initiated since 4th April, 2024 and hearing notice issued on 18.07.2024, the proceeding has not been completed till date and as

such the petitioner is being prejudiced for nonpayment of the said gratuity. 6.

Considering the nature of relief prayed for, the same being under a beneficial legislation, the Certificate Officer is directed to conclude the proceeding within a period of thirty days from the date of this order in accordance with law.

Let a copy of this order be sent to the Certificate Officer, South 24 Parganas and the District Magistrate, Parganas (South) for immediate compliance.

Learned counsel for the petitioner is at liberty to communicate a server copy of this order for expeditious disposal.

Writ Petition being WPA 27741 of 2024 stands disposed of.

Urgent Xerox certified copies of this order, if applied for, shall be supplied to the learned counsel for the parties as expeditiously as possible, in compliance of usual formalities.
