By an order dated 5th December, 2023, the petitioner was granted liberty to surrender before the Metropolitan Magistrate, 20th Court, Calcutta within seven days and apply for bail before the learned Sessions Judge.

The petitioner has not surrendered.

The explanation given for seeking extension of time for surrender before the Court below is that the case was not fixed before seven days and the charge sheet was not put up for committal before the Sessions Court, is not acceptable to this Court. 4.

In that view of the matter, CRAN 1 of 2023 shall stand dismissed.
