The writ petition was filed when the Armed Forces Tribunal was not in operation in view of the observations made by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in 2018 (16) SCC 341 [Rojer Mathew vs. South Indian Bank Ltd.] The father of the petitioner was a member of the Armed Forces. Any grievance relating to employment, therefor, is required to be ventilated normally before the Armed Forces Tribunal.

The petitioner is granted leave to withdraw this application and file an application before the Armed Forces Tribunal on the self-same ground. The Armed Forces Tribunal if approached within three weeks shall consider the matter on merits without going into the aspects of any delay due to the pendency of this writ petition.

Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this writ petition. The same is accordingly disposed of. (Arindam Mukherjee, J.)
