The present revisional application has been filed for expeditious disposal of C. Case No.141/2015 under Section 138/142 of the Negotiable Instruments. Act, 1881, pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 3rd Court at Alipore, South 24 Parganas.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the application was filed in 2015 and till date not even a single witness has been completed.

The Court considers that speedy trial is a matter of right. Even the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 provides for the completion of the proceedings in a time-bound manner. 4.

In the circumstances, the learned Judicial Magistrate, 3rd Court at Alipre, South 24 Parganas is directed to conduct the trial of C. Case No.141/2015 as expeditious as possible in accordance with law without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

With the above directions, CRR 5163 of 2025 is disposed of.
