And In Re : Sehebul Islam .... petitioner Mr. Arnab Chatterjee Ms. Poulami Bose Ms. Chandrima Debnath ....for the petitioner Mr. Bitasok Banerjee ...... for the State 1.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner renews his prayer for bail.

Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier and date has been fixed for recording evidence. 3.

We have considered the materials on record. We note bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier on merits in July, 2023. Pursuant to direction given by this Court charge has not yet been framed and date has been fixed in January, 2024. Under such circumstances we are of the opinion petitioner has not yet been make out a case of bail either on merits or on the ground of delay..

4. Application for bail is, thus, rejected.

Trial court is directed to conclude the trial at an early date by fixing schedules at short intervals and conclude

the proceeding expeditiously preferably within one year from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. (Gaurang Kanth, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
