Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the petitioner having applied for electricity connection to operate his submersible pump, the WBSEDCL has not yet given such connection.

Learned counsel appearing for the WBSEDCL, on instruction, submits that due to the intervening vacations and other issues, the application could not be processed in the meantime.

However, the WBSEDCL assures that the application of the petitioner shall be processed and a quotation shall be raised within four weeks from date. 4.

In view of such submission, WPA 26470 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to immediately process the application for electricity connection of the petitioner and to complete all formalities positively within four weeks from date to ensure that electricity connection is given to the petitioner, if he is otherwise so entitled.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
