Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits he is in custody for 60 days. It is also submitted co-accused have been enlarged on bail. He prays for bail.

Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits petitioner is the owner of the vehicle which was used to transport narcotics. Co-accused were released on bail in 2015. Petitioner absconded for seven years and thereafter has been arrested.

We have considered the materials on record.

Petitioner is the owner of the vehicle and had conscious knowledge that his vehicle was used to transport narcotics. The driver and his associates were found in the vehicle with narcotics. They have been released on bail in 2015. Petitioner absconded for seven long years. In view of the aforesaid materials on record and conduct of the petitioner we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. Application for bail is, thus, rejected.

Trial be expedited and concluded at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
