Liberty is granted to the petitioner to add the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Paschim Medinipur as respondent no.7 in the writ petition.

The cause title of the writ petition be amended accordingly.

Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioner's grievance is that the land was acquired by the State authorities for the purpose of construction of irrigation canal, but no compensation was paid to him for the same. The petitioner submitted representation before the 7th respondent in this regard on 15th February, 2008 which is yet to be disposed of. The petitioner prays for a direction upon the authority to consider the said representation at the earliest. Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties and material on record, the writ petition is

disposed of directing the 7th respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 15th February, 2008 within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order upon giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties including the petitioner, in accordance with law. WPA 27062 of 2015 is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
