Mr. Srijan Nayak Ms. Rituparna Maitra ... for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the final assessment order dated 22nd April, 2025.

On behalf of respondent-WBSEDCL, it is submitted that the petitioner has a statutory alternative efficacious remedy in section 127 of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the instant writ petition is not maintainable. It is also submitted on behalf of the respondent WBSEDCL that an amount of 50 per cent has already been deposited by the petitioner.

In view of the above, WPA 27457 of 2025 stands disposed of on the ground of maintainability.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to avail of the statutory alternative remedy in accordance with law if so advised.
