Case No.421 of 2025 dated 12.05.2025 under Sections 318(4)/338/336/336(2)/340(1)(2)/112/3(5)/ 61(2) of the BNS, 2023.

Mantu Singh ... petitioner Ms. Sreeparna Ghosh ... for the petitioner Ms. Subhasree Patel Mr. Manoranjan Mahata ... for the State Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. In an earlier case with same allegation, the petitioner was granted bail by the Sessions Court.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and relies on the statements of witnesses including the victim and the report present at page 81 of the case diary, which shows unauthorised and illegal sale of lottery tickets in West Bengal. He submits that the petitioner, along with three other accused, had sold fake lottery tickets and there were several victims in this case. There is also a criminal antecedent of the petitioner. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities.
