The excerpts from the proceedings of the Extra Ordinary Meeting of the West Bengal Medical Council dated January 10, 2025 has been supplied to the Court. Thus, the order of this Court has been complied with. The council has arrived at a decision.

It appears that the allegations against the medical practitioner was not proved and such decision was arrived at, on the observations of the Penal and Ethical Cases Committee, based on the documents including the petition of complaint filed by the applicant and the explanation given by the medical practitioner.

If the applicant is aggrieved by such finding, the applicant is at liberty to take appropriate steps as permitted by law. For such purpose, the applicant will be entitled to pray before the Registrar, West Bengal Medical Council for supply of all related documents leading to the aforementioned finding, so that applicant may take necessary steps. All objections available to the applicant may be raised

before the appropriate forum, including the point of violation of the principles of natural justice.

Accordingly, the contempt application is disposed of. Contempt proceedings are dropped.

The communication of the Registrar, West Bengal Medical Council is taken on record.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
