Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that he is in custody for 135 days and there was an altercation, scuffle and on being assaulted with a stick, the deceased who was in an inebriated condition succumbed.

Learned advocate for the State submits that the deceased was held by one of the accused and the present petitioner inflicted the fatal blow with the aid of a stick. Learned advocate further submits that date has been fixed for commitment of the case.

Be that as it may, considering the stage of the case, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner being CRM (M) 2574 of 2025 is dismissed.

Petitioner is granted liberty to renew his prayer for bail after the stage of consideration of charges is over. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
