Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits principal accused i.e. husband is on regular bail. Petitioner is the mother-in-law of the victim housewife. She prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits victim housewife was tortured over demands of dowry and committed suicide within two years of marriage.
3. We have considered the materials on record. Principal accused i.e. the husband has been enlarged on regular bail. Petitioner is the mother-in-law of the victim housewife. Allegations against her are general and omnibus. Investigation is complete. Her custodial interrogation for Signed By :

progress of investigation is not necessary. Accordingly, we are inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/-, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also be subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and on condition that she shall appear before the jurisdictional court and pray for regular bail within a period of four weeks from date.
5. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, allowed.
