The petitioners seek water connection under the Amrut 2.0 Project. An application was submitted before the Pradhan of the Gram Panchayat for supply of water. The water supply has not been effected yet.

The petitioners were apprehending that the private respondents would stand in the way of laying the water pipeline underneath the common passage through which the water will be supplied.

Learned advocate representing the respondent nos. 6,7 and 9 to 11 submits, upon instruction that, his clients do not have any objection if the water pipeline is laid underneath the common passage which is being used for ingress and egress of the inhabitants of the area.

In view of the above, the Pradhan of the Gram Panchayat, being the respondent no. 2 is directed to take steps for proceeding with the application for

obtaining water connection submitted by the petitioners in accordance with the scheme.

Steps shall be taken at the earliest but positively within a period of five months from the date of communication of this order.

It has been submitted by the learned advocate representing the private respondents that the respondent no. 8 has expired.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously, on compliance of usual legal formalities.
